a "quean", they say,
is a prostitute.
funny how it sounds similar
to a woman with power.
that's a fine declaration
of how woman are unable
to be proud, public figures
without ridicule
and risk of sexual provocation.
i'm so sick of common stand
where you're not as good at something
if you're not a man.
sure, we have the right to vote
but that hasn't given us greater ability
to actually use our voice.
i'm fairly certain that this world is unjust
part of me wishes i didn't crave a man's love.
