focus

i don't meditate enough
or pay close enough attention
to the signs God's sending
and the love that's unending
i know well enough
how vital it has become
to keep consciously connected
to a Power up above
but it's not ever first
on my list of things to do
but i need to reevaluate
my priorities askew
because i can't let go
of what peace does
i deserve a long life
i want to feel Higher Power love
i know it's there
if i seek it, It'll come
but my life has been wrapped up
in everything but.

so, i ask to you,
who reads this poem
please find in your heart
to seek Higher loving
from the depths of your soul
to your skin as it is
ask the creator of our lives
to keep us strong as kids
firm in our teachings
but curious enough to question
with hopeful projection.

i pray for you
to know this great love
to have the chance to ask
and see why we're on this big earth,
for a very simple lesson,
live with good will
and give all you can
like it's your mission.
i know in my soul
that this is true peace
the focus that we're safe
and that our life is filled with meaning.

to think we are living here
to hurt or destroy
is the cause of unjust
and works against us all.

don't find more time to meditate
just make it the first thought in your brain
that we are at peace, living each,
our Creator's greatest masterpiece.
