i'm losing weight
by no specific date
there's no goal
just direction
i'm not seeking perfection
i know what happened
and i just don't care
i'm not beating myself up
i wouldn't dare
i'm a different type of person
the passionate and poetic
who simply does whats best
even if she forgets it
and i'm not turning back
i'm only looking where i am
because the past or the future
won't create a different ending
the time i have right now
and the actions that i take
are the only ones that matter
so i use caution as i take
each breath in each new day
it creates my life in a different way
so i'm asking God to take
the reigns and help me create
a better version of me
with newer rights to succeed
because i finally believe
i'm worth the work to fulfill my dreams
