mount st. me

The base of a mountain is big
Enough to hold the broadest boulders
The mountain stands proud
No matter what the width of its shoulders

A mountain always holds up
Even in the most torrential weather
The mountain doesn't ever worry
It accepts that rain makes it better

Each mountain has cracks and peaks
It forms its very own face
The mountain doesn't hide from the sun
It shines in its grace

The mountains call for visitors
To ski up and down its slopes
The mountain wants you to climb it
It wishes and it hopes

A mountain is alive with its shape
And it's size is its claim to fame
A mountain tries to be bigger
For its weight, it's not ashamed

Mountains were made by God
Maybe to help us recognize
That we may embrace our Spirit
And forget about our size
